For governments, we develop large-scale projects that make significant contributions to achieving the United Nations' mandated goals. We combine these efforts with job creation, local and sustainable production of basic building materials, educational projects, soil regeneration, creation of new habitats for animals and biodiversity enhancement.
Launching a Paulownia project addresses various aspects of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
How do we implement these 17 goals within our organization and plantations?
1. End all forms of poverty
We create jobs in various countries with fair wages. Through crowdfunding, everyone can participate in the projects and share in the profits, generating passive income streams.
2. No hunger, sustainable agriculture, and good nutrition
Sustainable plantations, production of locally sourced wood, and creation of new habitats for birds and insects. Through agroforestry, intercropping, and apiculture, we grow local and healthy food.
3. Good health and well-being
The trees absorb large amounts of CO₂, and working outdoors improves the general health of laborers.
4. Quality education
Collaboration with local schools to educate youth about CO₂ absorption and sustainable agriculture. Continuous training of employees and providing growth opportunities within the organization.
5. Equal rights and opportunities for men and women
No discrimination in hiring; equal opportunities for everyone.
6. Clean water and sanitation and sustainable water use
Localized irrigation, watering only where trees are planted rather than the entire field.
7. Affordable, sustainable energy
Where possible, we use sustainable energy, such as solar panels on farm sheds and electric/hybrid vehicles.
8. Good jobs, sustainable economic growth, and fair distribution of wealth
Training and growth opportunities, with fair wages for employees.
9. Sustainable industry, innovation, and infrastructure
Actively seeking innovative applications for wood to store more CO₂ and exploring new bio-based construction applications.
10. Reduce inequality within and between countries
By working internationally, we create opportunities in less-developed areas, and we share knowledge and expertise across the organization.
11. Sustainable, safe, and resilient cities and communities
Collaboration with cities and communities to plant “lost land,” such as areas alongside highways, optimizing land use as much as possible without taking away from local projects.
12. Responsible consumption and production
Working efficiently to achieve zero waste, with no wastage of resources
13. Combat climate change
Aiming for new plantations every year to absorb more CO₂ from the atmosphere year after year, with a goal of planting 10 million trees by 2030.
14. Sustainable use of oceans and seas
We use ecological processes to protect groundwater from chemicals, and wastewater is purified before discharge.
15. Protected ecosystems, forests, and biodiversity
Through tree cultivation, we create new habitats for birds and insects, and establish green zones around cities. Agroforestry between the trees ensures biodiversity and establishes new ecosystems and biotopes.
16. Peace, safety, and justice
17. Global partnerships to achieve the goals
Teams in various countries work closely together to become more efficient and sustainable.
